Automotive mobile app developer selects Overland Park for headquarters

The Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council (OPEDC) is pleased to announce that Automotive Technology Services Inc., (ATS), an automotive mobile application development company, has selected Overland Park for its headquarters. 

After evaluating other Midwest markets including Chicago and Minneapolis, the company has signed a lease for office space in Overland Park’s Corporate Woods for 26 high-paying executive jobs. 

Robert Shively, president and CEO of Automotive Technology Services, said this location provides his company access to an innovative workforce and a strong technology community. “We are committed to providing a product that is revolutionizing how the future of used cars will be appraised, bought and sold,” Shively said. “ATS is enthusiastic to grow and find success in Kansas City.” 

Through its mobile application, AutoFlipr™, ATS provides auto dealers new technology allowing for increased control, visibility and efficiency evaluation with all auto transactions. Shively describes his product as a social network for auto dealers.
After 17 years in the auto industry, Shively launched his startup 18 months ago. After an initial rollout in Kansas City, Shively plans to have his product being used by 20,000 auto dealers nationwide by the end of this year.
